DESCRIPTION:\nThe SFXC workshop is aimed at individuals interested in usin
 g the Super FX Correlator ("SFXC") for software correlation of data from t
 heir own VLBI instruments (or other long-ish baseline radio interferometer
 s)\, as well as scientists who want to exploit SFXC's advanced features by
  doing their own correlation.\nThe workshop will take place over of two da
 ys\, mixing theory and practical hands-on sessions at JIVE's host institut
 e ASTRON in Dwingeloo\, The Netherlands. There will also be room for discu
 ssion about future developments of SFXC (including GPU-based correlation) 
 and suggestions for improving the SFXC documentation.\nThe number of parti
 cipants is limited to twenty (20) to enable a useful teacher-to-student ra
 tio for the practical sessions. If we receive more than 20 registrations b
 y the registration deadline of May 25th 2025\, we will select participants
  based on the survey in the registration form. Selected participants will 
 receive confirmation before June 6th 2025. Please hold off making travel a
 rrangements until your participation has been confirmed!\nLectures will be
  delivered by the SFXC developers\, JIVE's in-house experts\, and external
  users already using SFXC for their own data processing. Topics will inclu
 de: correlator models\; correlation preparation\; mixed-bandwidth correlat
 ion\; geodetic correlation\; real-time correlation\; post-processing of co
 rrelator output\; using SFXC for space science\; and using SFXC for FRB lo
 calization.\nWe expect each participant to bring a laptop with an ssh clie
 nt installed\, to have some experience with radio interferometry\, and to 
 be familliar with a UNIX/Linux shell command-line environment and  progra
 mming in Python.\nThe workshop is offered free of charge\, but no travel\,
  lodging\, sustenance\, or other form of financial support will be availab
 le. A block booking of hotel rooms at the nearby Hotel de Borken has been
  made and bicycles will be provided to commute between the hotel and ASTRO
 N's premises.\nAn ice-breaker event will be organised on Sunday 21 Septemb
 er\, and we'll have a conference dinner on one of the nights of the worksh
 op. Lunch/coffee break refreshments will also be provided.\nJIVE and ASTRO
