Netherlands Radio Astronomy Community Days

Europe/Amsterdam
Science Park, Amsterdam
Description

This is a two-day meeting for anyone in the Netherlands astronomy community to discuss the current radio astronomy landscape and plan for the future. It will take place at Science Park in Amsterdam on 2025 September 11 and 12, with a possibility for remote attandance as well.

Registration is free of charge and open until 22nd of August. A preliminary schedule is available that we'll continually update as we approach the meeting.

We are pleased to seek contributions for two sessions on the first day (11 Sep): (inter)national landscape and future pitches. The first session is an opportunity to highlight an (inter)national facility relevant for radio astronomy that is not already included in the program. The second session is your opportunity to share an avenue that you think is exciting for the future of NL radio astronomy. These are expected to be short contributions (~3-5 minutes), depending upon demand and the final schedule. You can submit contributions for either or both sessions at: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/h3r1bNW327.

The SKA community day (2nd day of the meeting) will have a delegration from the headquarters of SKAO presenting on commissioning results, what science verification will look like, and the future of key science programs. The other half of the day will be discussions and talks on how the Dutch community can capitalise on its investment in the SKAO.

We look forward to seeing you in Amsterdam or online in September!
