Dwingeloo can be reached in about 20 minutes by either private car or taxi from Hoogeveen railway station. From Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Hoogeveen takes 1h+45min by train.

ACCOMMODATION - reserve your room before November 2nd!
A block reservation has been made at Hotel de Borken. Please make a room booking by sending an e-mail to info@hoteldeborken.nl, stating 'LOFAR beam workshop'. The price of a double room, single use including breakfast is €98.50 per night, exclusive tourist tax.
Note that the block reservation will expire on 02/11/2026. After that date, your reservations are at the basis of availability and prices may go up.
TRANSPORT
The hotel is at walking distance from ASTRON: 1,9 kilometres.
It is also possible to borrow a bicycle at ASTRON. Kindly let us know if you would like to make use of this option by sending an email to rd-secretariat@astron.nl.
