Hands-on materials
During the workshop you can decide for yourself how to format the hands-on sessions. There are several options to choose from, tutors who will support this are listed:
- EVN JupyterCASA notebook (git repository) on continuum experiment N14C3 (Ilse, Mark, Des)
- n14c3_1_1.IDI1 (1.9 GB), n14c3_1_1.IDI2 (0.9 GB)
- Calibration metadata: ANTAB and UVFLG files
- EVN archive page of N14C3
- Zip file of the EVN JupyterCASA notebook (if the git repository doesn't work)
- New and improved instructions for setting up the notebook on your laptop
- Amplitude Calibration tutorial (Mark)
- https://github.com/jive-vlbi/casa-vlbi/blob/tutorial/SOLUTIONS.md
- Uses the N14C3 dataset from above, or your own
- DARA e-MERLIN tutorial on 3C277.1 (Dave, Emmanuel, Jack)
- VLBA CASA guide (George)
- DARA spectral line HI absorption in NGC660 (Dave, Emmanuel, Jack)
- CARTA demonstration (Kuo-Song)
- Test images (385 MB)
- Tutorial as movie (no sound, this is NOT the lecture recording!)
- Tutorial as PDF
- Self-calibration demonstration (Cristiana)
- Test data (107 MB)
- Imaging tutorial recording
- Multi-band VGOS dataset for polarization calibration (Ivan)
- High-frequency dataset from VLBA (Michael)
- Example 86GHz data (2.1 GB)
We will provide links to these materials as they become available. You are also welcome to attempt processing of your own VLBI data during the school.
